Six years ago, an accident stole Honatsu’s memories and her father. Now she begins to question what it means to love while her heart’s being pulled in two different directions.
On one hand, her childhood friend, Toma, always manages to put her at ease. On the other hand, there’s the mysterious new transfer student, Shun, who encourages her step outside of her comfort zone and may be secretly tied to her accident. As she tries to uncover her past, she navigates between these two relationships.
Falling Drowning, Vol. 1 by Yuko Inari is a bittersweet coming-of-age romance manga that brings a whole new meaning to falling in love. Inari has both a habit of physically falling, and on a figurative level, she’s falling in love with Shun (and maybe Toma as well.)
Overall, Falling Drowning is an emotional and gorgeous mystery romance, and I’m curious to see how it unfolds.
Thank you, NetGalley and Kodansha, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
